Laura’s main expertise lies in:
- developing and enhancing human rights due diligence processes and carrying out human rights risk assessments
- supporting and improving human rights reporting (including on Modern Slavery) and benchmarking
- facilitating internal engagement and capacity-building on human rights issues
- research and analysis on country- and sector-level human rights and labour issues, social standards
Laura joined Ergon in 2015 and has provided strategic advice and research services to a variety of private sector clients from the garment, retail, chemical and hospitality sector, as well as to international organisations, multi-stakeholder initiatives and development finance institutions.
She previously worked on various aspects of corporate responsibility with GIZ, the German agency for international cooperation, and the German Network of the Global Compact. She has volunteered with Human Rights Watch’s advocacy department and supported their activities in the context of the UN Human Rights Council.
Laura has a BA in Political Science from the University of Munich and an MA in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies in Geneva.
