Lis has a particular interest in Latin America and Europe, including:
- gender equality, women’s employment and equal opportunities in the workplace
- labour standards in trade agreements
- rights of migrant workers
- stakeholder engagement
Lis joined Ergon in March 2017. In her previous role at the European Economic and Social Committee, she evaluated the impact of EU policies on labour standards, gender equality and consumer rights.
She has interned with the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, where she focused on issues relating to freedom of association and stakeholder engagement. She has also volunteered for a migrant women’s rights NGO and for a policy think-tank based in London.
Lis has an MA in Human Rights from University College London and a BA in Sociology from the University of Hamburg (Germany).
