Carola’s main interests include:
- human rights and labour standards in global supply chains, particularly in the garment sector
- environmental justice and the nexus between human rights and climate change
- remedy for human rights impacts
- development finance and impact investing
Prior to joining Ergon in January 2022, Carola worked with the Global Compact Network Germany, a multi-stakeholder initiative supporting companies and organizations in aligning their strategies and activities with sustainability goals and the vision of the UN Global Compact.
Carola holds a LL.M. double degree in International Economic Law and International Law & Security from Leuphana University Lueneburg and the University of Glasgow. She also obtained a MSc in International Fashion Marketing specialising in industry-specific sustainability issues and human rights violations in global garment supply chains.
