Alice Berkeley

Alice joined Ergon having successfully completed a temporary internship. She previously worked at a humanitarian aid NGO and has worked with refugees and asylum seekers both in the UK and Samos, Greece. She holds a MSc in Gender, Development and Globalisation from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BA in Religions and Theology with Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Manchester, where she specialised in gender and Islam.
Her main areas of interest include:
- Human rights and labour standards in global supply chains, particularly in the agricultural and garment sectors
- Gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and gender-based violence within the workplace
- Economic inclusion of refugees and migrant workers
- The intersection of human rights and climate change
