Lotta Skule
Consultant
Lotta has been a consultant at Ergon since September 2023 with three years prior experience in social impact assessment and human rights due diligence.
Lotta supports clients, including development finance institutions and corporations, on labour, gender and human rights due diligence. Her particular experience includes:
- Capacity building and training
- Human rights gap analyses, benchmarking and action planning
- Stakeholder engagement
- Drafting policy and guidance on specific sector and thematic issues, such as grievance management and land acquisition.
Before joining Ergon, Lotta worked as a social performance consultant, advising infrastructure and renewable-energy projects in Africa and Asia where she gained experience in HRIAs and resettlement planning. She also has prior experience in corporate social strategy, as well as corporate partnerships for NGOs.
Lotta has an MA in International Law from the London School of Oriental and African Studies, focusing on human rights and gender, and a BA in English Literature from the University of Leeds, specialising in African Literature.
