Jakob Kessel

Jakob joined Ergon in September 2022 having successfully completed a temporary internship. Prior to that he worked as an intern with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and a research assistant at Institute of Development Studies (IDS).

Jakob holds a BSc in Development Studies from Lund University in Sweden, as well as a MA in Globalisation, Business and Development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex. In his studies he focused on impact investing, corporate social responsibility and international labour standards.

Jakob’s main interests and expertise include:

  • Human and labour rights in the context of impact investing
  • International labour standards
  • Government due diligence legislation on labour rights
