Jakob Kessel
Researcher
Jakob is a Researcher at Ergon and joined in September 2022. Jakob’s work has a particular focus on supporting our corporate clients. He has key expertise in:
- Global human rights risk and saliency assessments
- Policy and research reports on human rights risks and mitigation for specific supply chains
- Development of data-driven and quantitative risk assessments and prioritisation tools
Prior to starting with Ergon, Jakob worked as an intern with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and a research assistant at Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
Jakob holds a BSc in Development Studies from Lund University in Sweden, as well as a MA in Globalisation, Business and Development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex. In his studies he focused on impact investing, corporate social responsibility and international labour standards.
